Child Support from Centrelink

Patients can apply to Centrelink for free full time childcare under the criteria of "In exceptional circumstances". This may help out young mothers who are having treatment and can't readily access family support or have the finances to gain professional child support.
The way to access assistance is to contact a Council-run Child Care Centre and they will contact Centrelink on your behalf. This service is available for up to 12 months.
This could be extremely helpful to young mothers undergoing chemotherapy and other forms of cancer treatment.
